BIOGRAPHY

DREW GEORGE
I’ve always had an interest and fascination with light and shadows. Whether natural or artificial light, I just liked how it made things look and how it affected our emotions.
I worked for a design studio as an aesthetics director, tasked with breaking-down concepts into real world creations. This position always required some type of photography. I finally made a dedicated career change in 2015.
When working in the design world people always wanted to see your sketches-They wanted to see your creativity and thought process. But in photography, everything is based on that final, finished shot.
Well, below are my photographic sketches. Shots that were not perfect but simply practice at framing a moment. These “practice” shots are the catalyst and the inspiration that make future shots amazing.

When I was young playing with Legos was a huge love...but what I loved just as much was taking pictures of the things I built. I guess I was always a photographer, I just didn't know it yet.

The orange Lotus and cotton candy clouds looked like a 3D video game. I had to capture it.

None of this was staged. I drove by a construction site and saw this view and knew it looked like a truck ad. I shot a few pics and added some text to complete the vision in my head.

Awesome sunset view of this old Chevy riding into the sunset. The bugs and dust on my windshield created a great photoshop filter effect.

Beats headphones had just been sold when I was on a plane ride from Miami. This looked like another perfect ad set up.

Walking at night in Miami I passed this closed Garmin Store. The lines and well lit interior was a great shot setup.
